Terms of Service

1. The service

Aethene gives you access to third-party AI models through one API key, a command-line tool, a web chat app and related features (the “Service”). Models are provided by suppliers such as Microsoft Azure and Anthropic; their availability and behaviour can change.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. Keep your keys secret: you are responsible for all usage on your account and keys. Don't share keys outside your organisation. Tell us immediately at support@aethene.com if a key may be compromised, and revoke it in the dashboard.

3. Payment

Credit is prepaid. Usage is charged per request at the rates published on the pricing page at the time of the request; plans are charged every 30 days until cancelled. Prices exclude tax, which is added at checkout where applicable. Bonus and promotional credit has no cash value. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.

4. Acceptable use

Your use must follow the acceptable use policy and the usage policies of the model suppliers. We may suspend accounts that breach it.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of your inputs and outputs. You grant us the limited rights needed to process them to provide the Service. The gateway does not store prompts or responses; see data retention.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for 99.5% monthly availability of the gateway but don't guarantee it. We may change models, features and prices; price increases for plans are announced at least 7 days in advance.

7. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts for non-payment, payment disputes, fraud, breach of these terms or to comply with law. On a payment dispute we freeze the account and its keys until it is resolved.

8. Disclaimers and liability

AI output can be wrong; review it before relying on it. To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Independence

Aethene is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Google or Microsoft. Model names are trademarks of their owners.
